Pop-Up, Cabaret/Burlesque, Food & Drink, Something A Little Different
South London
Over 18

Join us for an exceptionally special autumnal evening in which we take Midnight Apothecary underground. We couldn't bear to end the season - so we're not going to! Instead we're descending from our roof garden down the brand new grand staircase into the underground Grand Entrance Hall, described as one of the most exciting new performance spaces and cultural attractions in London today. Beneath our garden we will treat you to a night of cabaret, candlelight and cocktails while upstairs in the roof garden above we will offer you the usual campfire and toasted marshmallow shenanigans.

We're taking our beautiful bespoke mobile cocktail bar down the shaft to serve you divine botancial cocktails made by award winning author, gardener, mixologist and founder of Midnight Apothecary, Lottie Muir. For your extra special delectation we will be joined in our cavernous wonderland by ukulele-wielding, cross-dressing "master showgirl" Tricity Vogue. She has been a sparkling light on the London Cabaret scene for over a decade, charming audiences across the capital and the country with her trademark wit, quirk and sauce. She's also the co-creator of cult hit show "Heels of Glory: The Drag Action Musical" which headlined the Pride in London festival at Chelsea Theatre in June. Her writing partner on the show, composer Richard Link, joins her on the piano for an evening of cheeky original cabaret tunes, with plenty of costume changes.

The firepit, flares and toasted marshmallows will remain aglow for you to enjoy in the garden throughout the evening. Tricity will perform at regular intervals giving you time to sample our delights above and below ground. And of course we will have hot food for you to enjoy down on the terrace.

Ever the showman, Isambard Kingdom Brunel organised underground fairs and banquets inside the Thames Tunnel – once described as the Eighth Wonder of the World – in the mid-nineteenth century. He would surely approve of the transformation of his Grade II* listed shaft. Let the cosy cavernous cocktails and cabaret commence!

“Tricity Vogue and her uke… recipe for one of the finest shows you’ll see. It’s cabaret to run down side-streets for – just get there early.”
